Desktop Support Country Manager (Director) & Engineer (AVP) – Investment Bank recruitment

Responsibilities:

Manage the day to day operations and performance
Be escalation point for clients for all matters relating to on-site support
Identify potential risks and address, bringing in other teams where necessary
Analysing environment data, developing and recommending strategies for improving service and end-user-experience
I.T. Cross functional team relationships – manage healthy cross functional relationships and assist team members to establish their own such networks
Business stakeholder meetings
Vendor management
Facilitate ad-hoc projects assigned to the team
Management reporting and information gathering assistance to local/regional/global stakeholders
Regulatory risk management
Ensure team is compliant with the firm internal policies and procedures
Approve I.T. Change Management requests where appropriate
Manage end user experience
Promote team diversity and innovation
Complete all mandatory compliance training sessions as well as ensuring the team are fully compliant . E.g. Affirmation On line, Privileged user sign off .
Maintain the team BCP plans, ensure team members are educated and compliant in relation to team plan and overall bank evacuation procedures
Crisis Management

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in I.T.
ITIL foundation certification highly desirable
Min.8 years in I.T. service delivery role with management experience in investment bank/sizable financial institution
Experience in vendor management
Project management experience desirable
Strong knowledge in Windows 7 / XP, MS Office 2003 / 2010 application suite, Market Data Applications and various remote access solutions (i.e. Blackberry, Good, VPN, Citrix)
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Able to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels
