Desktop Support Engineer / Technician – Finance – Sydney CBD – 6 Month Contract recruitment
A new opportunity has arisen within a successful and tight-knit IT Support Team as a dedicated Desktop Support Engineer supporting a growing group of Traders. The role requires the successful candidate to provide exceptional Desktop Support services in a fast-paced Trading environment and is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your career within a well-established Investment Bank.
The key requirements for the role are:
- Strong Desktop Level 2/3 Desktop Support Experience
- Strong Windows Environment Experience - Outlook, Exchange, Active Directory.
- Strong problem solving skills - own the issue, take responsibility for problem resolution.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills - this role is client facing.
Your previous experience should include strong 2nd/3rd Level Desktop Support experience in time critical environments, strong problem solving abilities in Microsoft Office Applications, in particular Excel and whilst previous experience in a trading / dealing room environment (Market Data applications, Reuters, Bloomberg etc) would be advantageous, your proactive nature, willingness to learn and team work attributes will be key to your success.
