InterQuest Financial Markets is currently looking for a Technical Desktop Support Analyst who can provide our client with 1st and 2nd line support. The role will be very hands on and will be part of a busy support team. The main focus of the support will be via remote desktop.

Desktop Support Responsibilities:

+ As a Desktop Support Analyst you will provide 1st and 2nd line support to via remote access.

+ You will maintain a knowledge base in support of the desktop, Microsoft office, 3rd party and in house developed applications and products.

+ You will carry out desktop/laptop builds and provide end users training on both hardward and desktop applications.

+ As the Desktop Support you will also be required to support and installation of mobile and blackberry tecnology.

+ You will need to ensure timely completion of morning system and end of day checks and escalate as required.

Desktop Support Experience/Skills:

+ Knowledge in the support of financial and market data - Bloomberg/Reuters/DataStream/Tradeweb.

+ Knowledge of Virtual Desktops (VDI) and App-V technologies.

+ Strong knowledge of and experience in the support of remote control tools such as Dameware, Microsoft remote desktop - Altiris.

+ Working knowledge and experience with Windows XP,7, MS office and MS exchange.

+ Strong working knowledge and experience of supporting laptops and remote connectivity via VPM, via Wifi and 3G.

+ Understanding and use of TCP/IP protocols.

+Experience with Blackberries.

+ Understanding of voice and desktop and voice communications.

+ Knowledge of PC/Printer hardware.

+ Knowledge of Active Directory
