Desktop Support Specailist recruitment
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to join our technology organization. The Desktop Support Specialist will respond to PC related issues, help coordinate technology moves, build desktop PCs, track software licenses, and help Support desktop applications. An ideal candidate must be able to troubleshoot and resolve desktop issues and be able to identify and proactively resolve on-going desktop issues. Core Responsibilities:
•Work with end users to resolve desktop issues
•Track and manage software licenses and desktop hardware inventory
•Configure and deploy end user technology (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.)
•Setup, take down, and move PCs within office space. Must be able to lift 30 lbs
•Interact with vendors as necessary

•Strong written and oral communications skills, and ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service
•Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous issues
•Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership
Technical Experience and Educational Requirements:
•Experience writing scripts (e.g. BAT files, VBscript, Powershell, etc.) required
•Previous hardware setup and deployment experience required
•Experience deploying and supporting multiple third party applications
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required
•Strong experience with Windows XP/7 required
•Experience with OS X (Snow Leopard) desired
