Position Summary: Provide extensive support to our internal client ??s specific to PC and MAC desktop hardware and operating systems. Assist the Help desk and Network/System Administrator in the resolution of major desktop related and minor network support issues. The Desktop Support Technician II is responsible for providing similar support as compared to the Desktop Support Technician, however should have the ability to work more independently and with less supervision on projects and tasks that are assigned to him'her by his'her manager. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: · Ensure the functionality of all of the PC/MAC desktops · Ensure policies and standards are followed as described in the corporate IT SOI · Complete all projects on or ahead of schedule · Assist the Network and Systems Administrator as needed · Provide extensive printer support · Assist with the help desk process and request system as needed. · Other duties as assigned which are inherent to the position of Desktop Support Technician II Required Experience, Skills and Education: · Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/Win7 · Knowledge of MAC OSX · Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Server · Knowledge of TCP/IP configuration (DHCP, DNS etc.) · Extensive PC/MAC hardware knowledge · Extensive PC/MAC application knowledge · Extensive knowledge in MS Office 2000/XP/2003/2007/2010 · Extensive knowledge of Microsoft ??s WSUS · Extensive knowledge of SCCM (imaging software) · Extensive knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPO) · Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems effectively · Ability to complete projects and tasks without direct supervision · Four year CS/CE degree or equivalent experience · Minimum of four years industry experience · A+ Certification a plus · MCDST Certification a plus Compensation and Benefits: Harte-Hanks offers attractive compensation plans along with a comprehensive benefits offering including: Medical, Dental, Life, PTO, 401k, Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability, Educational Assistance and Employee Referral Bonus plans.
