Desktop Support Technician

Teksystems currently has a client in the Red Bluff, CA area looking to add a Desktop Support Technician to their team. Job Description - Leads the installation and preservation of multiple products Performs advanced troubleshooting techniques to address complex technical issues. - Utilizes independent discretion and decision making authority to assess and adjust technical solutions based on the specific client issue. - Addresses escalated technical issues. - Works autonomously in providing on-site technical support to customers. - Performs new product orientations. - Prepares documentation to record and track issue resolutions. - Effectively communicate both verbally and written to customers and internal partners. - Manage difficult and escalated customer situations with a focus on building positive customer relationships. - Understand internal service processes and be able to articulate these to customers. - Exhibit a flexible schedule to react to customer needs for all Windows and MS Office troubleshooting - Engage in "critical situations" and demonstrate poise and professionalism. - Strong technical and product knowledge.- 3+ years of related industry experience with High School Diploma or equivalency. Technical Skills Needed Candidate must have worked in a Microsoft related network. Client is currently running Windows XP and Windows 7. Standard applications such as Office 2007. Must have prior desktop support on both computer hardware and software. Must be able to troubleshoot end users problems on proprietary and off the shelf applications. Must be able to work within a ticketing system. This is going to be an open ended contract with hours Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
