Desktop Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Prepares all PC hardware and software for installation. - Installs PC hardware and cabling on site. - Performs setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance on network PC's. - Works with vendors to maintain necessary hardware and software. - Maintains and organizes hardware and software inventory. - Maintains up to date hardware and software documentation. - Stays current on new hardware and software developments and actively promotes time and money saving ideas. - Enhances performance of PCs. - Assists with training of new users on network and voice systems. - Provides technical support to branches. - Answers incoming calls, solves initial inquires from end users, and routes complex inquires to the appropriate resource. - Troubleshoots user support inquires including but not limited to hardware, software and telecommunication issues. - Monitors and reports service activity. - Organizes and prioritizes daily and weekly activities. - Uses company computer and software. - Works and communicates well with co-workers and branch employees. - Performs other related duties and tasks as required.
