TEKsystems has multiple openings for a Desktop Support Technician with a large client in Wichita, KS.
Job Summary:
Primarily responsible for implementing/supporting and enhancing the client computing environment. May also support multiple technology functions (e.g., some combination of workstations, technical systems, and other technologies as needed) depending on the need for that specific area.
Essential Duties:
- Supports workstations, technical systems, and other technologies as needed.
- Performs installations, moves, adds and changes for various technologies, as needed.
- Provides technical support (level 1 and 2) and guidance to users through advisory support and publication of documentation
- Coordinates problem resolution with help desk
- Performs asset tagging and software license tracking for all desktop and other technologies and enters assets into tracking system
- Performs procurement of desktop hardware, software and other technologies as needed.
- Follows system-wide workstations and integration standards, policies and procedures
- Participates in activities to evaluate new technology developments and applications
- Maintains professional knowledge of current trends and developments in the information technology field
- Will require some on-call coverage responsibilities
