Destination Marketing Sales Executive - £30-40k + commission + travel allowance
My client, a world leader in online travel is seeking to recruit a DMO Sales Executive to join its team in Central London.
In this role, main responsibilities will include,
• Create and present strategic and tactical revenue initiatives to National Regional and City Tourism Boards and advertising agencies
• Build relationships with tourist boards and advertising agencies in the EMEA region
• Arrange and take part in face-to-face meetings with key clients
• Generate accurate and timely reports on all sales forecasting, activity and performance
• Conduct research in order to establish yourself as a knowledgeable representative of the company in the dedicated markets
The successful candidate will be fluent in English and will ideally speak another European language. Experience in a media sales position is required to succeed in this role, ideally with a vast amount of face-to-face sales experience. Past work within the media/communications industry, particularly with tourist boards and related businesses is also required. The candidate will have excellent negotiation, organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be analytical, have a good understanding of online metrics and will have a passion and knowledge of the travel industry. Good knowledge of computer programs such as MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint are important for this role as are presentation skills. The candidate will be of Graduate calibre and will have extensive real world experience in the travel/sales industry.
