4. Do you have experience in generating detail design packaged for complex safety critical equipment? Is this within actuation? If no please elaborate
The Detail Design Engineer will:
· Provide design support through all stages of the design process, from proposal preparation through design development and detail design to manufacture, qualification and ‘in service’ within a multi-disciplinary Engineering team.
· Report to the Engineering Manager/Technical Lead of the multi-disciplinary PIM team for day to day management.
· Be responsible to the Chief Design Engineer for the quality and integrity of his/her work.
Basic Qualifications:
· Produce high integrity manufacturing package deliverables. (Detail drawings, assembly drawings, parts lists etc.)
· Develop design concepts and configurations of a wide range of actuation systems products which may consist of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical or mechanical elements.
· Be involved in problem solving activities throughout the manufacturing, qualification and ‘in service’ phases of the project.
· Ensure design work undertaken is conducted in accordance with engineering procedures and work instructions
· Provide Design engineering support and direction for student placements and students on work experience within the multi-disciplinary project team.
· Liaising with customers and suppliers to resolve product design issues.
Note: Occasionally, the Detail Design Engineer may be required by the Company to perform other tasks which are not included in the above description, but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given.
