Java Developer. Our client requires a Senior Java Developer with Spring, Hibernate, and Oracle skills to join this Global Securities and Investment Banking Group.
The successful Senior Java Developer will be responsible for the development, unit testing and production support of new and existing database and Java code that exists within the environment. The ideal candidate should be able to write, debug, document and maintain performance database and Java code as well as debug / modify applications.
Required skills:
• Java 5 / 6 including data structures, GUI development and multithreading
• Spring, Hibernate, JBOSS, SEAM
• Database Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server including stored procedure and queries
• Full Software Development Lifecycle
• Designing and developing robust and scalable applications in a commercial environment ideally within the financial services industry
• Financial Services – ideally middle office operations
Desirable skills:
• Apache and Tomcat
• Eclipse IDE and Maven or ANT
• Working knowledge of Linux / Unix
• Shell scripting and PERL
