Position Description :
Business Objects Application Developer, Report Developer or Crystal reports developer that has a good technical command of the Business Objects suite of tools including (but not limited to) Web Intelligence, Desktop Intelligence, Designer, Crystal, SAP Integration Kit, Life Cycle Manager, and has knowledge of the Business Objects Enterprise System, Services and Administration. The Developer will largely need to work independently on complex projects, acting as the Technology Lead and provide some mentoring and guidance to team members. Some projects are focused on the building of Universes or reports so expert experience with Data Warehousing and SQL writing experience is preferred. Other projects are focused on POCs around the implementation, configuration, and customization of add on tools like Mobi, Metadata Manager, SAP Integration Kit. A well rounded developer, with good communication skills, good problem solving skills, and who has the ability to interface with the Business is preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Create complex reports using Webi or Deski or Crystal (create variables, merge data providers, link result sets, formatting)
- Create complex Universes (context vs. aliases, create hierarchies)
- User, group, some server administration using Central Management Console
- Experience with the implementation, configuration, and customization of add on tools like Mobi, Metadata Manager, or SAP Integration Kit
- Expert knowledge of the workings of the Business Knowledge Application as a whole.
- Extensive experience with troubleshooting and user support
Advanced (Ideal) Technical Skills:
- Understand Architecture behind BusObj XIR3.1
- Dashboarding experience is a PLUS! (creating dashboards, scorecards, metrics, analytics, goals, rules, alerts)
- Experience deploying BusObj XIR3.1 on Weblogic 10 with Kerberos authentication is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Work as an IT 'consultant' for business groups to help them understand how Business Objects can be used as a solution to meet a reporting need.
- Function in partnership with the business to be able to interpret business need into technical deliverables and vice versa.
- Show initiative to learn new technologies and discover new troubleshooting techniques on the job
- Lead a BusObj development project to its completion
Experience:
- Minimum 5-8 years Business Objects or Crystal Reports experience
- Minimum of 5-8 years work experience as a developer is desirable, preferably in the wireless industry.
- Has had development experience on at least 4 projects with total project team size greater than 3 team members and has acted as lead developer on at least one project impacting multiple business units
- Hands-on coding design technical experience Subject matter expertise in telecom and retail applications
- Able to take ownership and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Has experience mentoring other members of technical/development staff.
Education/Vocational Training:
- B.S. Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
