The Company
Our client is a fast growing IT Company; this role is based in the Software division where they are experts in the support services, facilities management and public sector market. As well as supplying innovative FM software, they also offer hosting solutions and a range of compatible hardware devices.
The Role
In this role the candidate will be a product team member and be expected to complete product features to specification with little or no supervision. They are responsible for ensuring that their work adheres to good coding standards and should be able to participate in code reviews of peers and unit testing of colleagues work. Some mentoring of the junior staff would also be required.
This position would require 2 - 3 years of development experience using MS .NET technologies and SQL Server architecture. Any experience in VB 6, Crystal Reports and web development would be an advantage.
· Complete delegated development tasks to required standards.
· Participate in code reviews.
· Participate in unit testing activities.
· Contribute to design discussions and meetings.
· Limited mentoring of junior staff.
· Assist Quality Assurance team during product test cycles.
· 3rd Line technical support activities.
· Limited specification writing activities.
The Person
· Development ability and problem solving experience.
· 2-3 years of development experience using MS.NET technologies and SQL Server Architecture.
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
· Customer focussed - internal and external.
· The ability to work within a team structure and work towards common goals.
· Positive attitude towards software development and a willingness to apply effort based on differing project demands.
