The Company

C# Backend / Server Developer - investment Manager, London West End

A leading privately owned investment management firm is building a new web based platform from scratch. As a result it is seeking a high-calibre Software Developer to join their team. Based in their brand new office in the West End of London, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly meritocratic firm with a practically flat structure who are investing heavily in leading edge technology.

The Role

Responsibilities include
- Working closely with business/product teams to gather and document requirements.
- Full life cycle design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance of the system components.
- Researching and advising on emerging technologies.

Essential Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience
- Highly intelligent with an outstanding academic record from a reputable university with a minimum 2:1/GPA3.5 or equivalent degree in a numerate discipline (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, C++).
- A strong track record with hands-on professional experience in back-end system development, ideally with SQL Server (e.g. relational database, transactional, messaging and multi-threaded systems).
- Current experience of development of large scale web applications (10k users) within a blue chip organisation or consultancy.
- Experience of at least 1 complete software development cycle (preferably using Agile methodology) from initial specifications to maintenance and support.

Desirable experience:
- Domain driven design
- Code-first entity modelling using (POCO / POJO)
- Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) or web service development
- NHibernate
- Exposure to source code via github or bitbucket
- Master's or higher level degree will be advantageous.

Salary Benefits

£50-75,000
