Ruby Python Developer : Automated hedge fund
Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Ruby Python Developer to join our high profile client.
Our client is a $19 billion strong automated Hedge fund with performance figures of 18%.
The client offers a bonus to all employees as a result of the fund’s performance from day 1.
The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.
The role sits between the front office traders and automated trading algorithms. You will be working to fix problems in the front office trading system as well as helping traders with app support problems.
The ideal candidate will have good Scripting, good coding and good support experience. This could suit a graduate with a little commercial experience from a top 10 University such as Oxbridge, Imperial or LSE.
Candidates MUST have:
§ EU Computer Science BSc / MSc / PhD
§ Solid Ruby / Python or Java
§ Good Scripting either Shell Bash Python or Ruby
§ SQL experience
§ XML and XSLT
§ EU Passport
My client offers the largest bonuses I have ever seen a technologist receive as well as serious technological advancement. The team in this role is junior so does not suit someone with greater than 6 years experience. This role could suit a graduate or a candidate with some experience. You must have a computer science degree
