Position:
- The firm views software development as part of its core business strategy. Software is developed primarily in C#. The key responsibilities of the roles are:
- Enhancing and supporting the existing trade technology platform and associated toolset.
- Designing and implementing high quality code to work with large data sets.
- The roles are all technically challenging, and require an ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies such that the business’s technology advantage is maintained.
The nature of daily trading across global markets means that the candidate will be required to provide support for production issues, which can include occasional overnight calls shared in a rota with other team members.
Requirements:
You must be a strong, competent, and practical software developer. You should be enthusiastic and have a genuine interest in both software technology and the underlying hardware.
Required skills:
- Proven ability to develop high-quality software. They are considering candidates with varying levels of experience.
- Experience of at least one of C++, Java, or C#.
- Appreciation of good software architecture and core algorithms data structures
- Excellent academics – good A-level results combined with a 2.1 or better from a top university in a numerate subject
Financial experience may be useful but is not required. Candidates from non-financial backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
