You will provide project implementation and ad-hoc technical consultancy to fund/asset management clients across Asia.
Technical Consultant – Buy Side Solutions
You will conduct technical consulting engagements and system/business analysis for clients in buy side financial services i.e. Fund Managers, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds etc. You will work with clients both as part of software implementation projects and on an ad-hoc consulting basis.
Part of your role will require the development of custom code and scripts as part of an overall client solution and to integrate with 3rd party client systems.
You will have:
2-3 years of experience in Windows programming and scripting, preferably using SQL/Stored procedure, XML, Java and VB, looking to step up in a professionnal services client facing role with a leading vendor.
Ideally you will also have:
• Experience/knowledge of Windows, MSSQL Server and internet technologies.
• Exposure to UNIX, Oracle/Sybase and Websphere / Weblogic is a plus.
• Business/System Analysis skills or willing to develop such skills.
• DBA skills and knowledge in network and database security.
• This role will be based in Hong Kong with frequent regional travel.
• You will need to work independently and have effective communication skills with fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
• You will be client facing in this role so will need to have good commercial acumen, a positive attitude and good relationship management skills
