Development Accountant

Central and Cecil’s principal activities are the provision of sheltered housing, residential and nursing care for the elderly, supported housing and hostel accommodation. The Association’s main area of operation is London although it does have schemes in other parts of the country. Founded in 1926, the organisation has developed both organically and by acquisition in recent years and now has a turnover of c£27million.

Reporting to the Financial Controller this is a newly created role which has been established given Central and Cecil’s renewed development programme. You will be responsible for reviewing potential development projects to ensure financial viability, managing the financial plans for individual projects, and managing long and short term cash flow forecasting. In addition you will be responsible for managing the organisation long term business plan. The role presents an ideal opportunity to combine your strong analytical skills with your ability to communicate effectively. You will work closely with project managers, executive level personnel and the rest of the finance team.

The ideal candidate will be part qualified with significant experience of analysing information and discounted cashflow modelling, have a good understanding of planning and budgeting and have strong systems experience. If you have used planning tools such as Brixx, that would be a distinct advantage. Experience of Excel is essential.
