Duties Responsibilities: Individual will be interfacing with a diverse population of alumni who are potential HSDM donors. This position is a critical function of the development team and the building of relationships with HSDM alumni and donors.

Development, Stewardship, and Communications [50%]:
Visit prospects and donors, primarily in New England. Maintain contact with prospects and donors through personal correspondence and phone calls. Manage fundraising phonathons, electronic fundraising efforts, and other gift solicitations. Manage alumni reunion-gift fundraising efforts. Manage and expand electronic communications, including Facebook, e-newsletters, and other Web-based communications vehicles.

Alumni Relations[30%]:
Plan and implement receptions and events. Manage alumni volunteer engagement and outreach, including the Harvard Dental Alumni Association. Manage the Schools participation in reunion events.

Liaison Activities[20%]:
Represent the Office at University-wide meetings for alumni relations and annual giving. Serve as Office liaison with the Schools Office of Dental Education. Serve as Office liaison with Harvard Medical School staff for annual Dental/Medical School alumni reunion.

Responsibilities also include other tasks and projects as required.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree required with a minimum of three years of effective academic or nonprofit constituent-relations experience.

Additional Qualifications: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to establish congenial interpersonal relationships with a variety of constituents. Exemplary organizational skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple tasks while paying close attention to detail. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with Web-based fundraising and communications. Experience organizing and mobilizing volunteers preferred. Experience with Advance fundraising software preferred. The position requires some travel(approximately 20% primarily in the New England Area)and some evening and weekend work .
