Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and coordinate various department activities, functions or events in conjunction with the Vice President and other department staff.
- Coordinate the day-to-day administration of the department, including handling phones, mail, data management, supply needs and scheduling meetings.
- Receive and process gifts and pledges, including logging, depositing, acknowledgement and reporting.
- Perform diversified administrative duties, including word processing, filing and interfacing with hospital staff and the public.
Job Requirements
- AA degree required. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Four years experience in an office environment, preferably in a fundraising, public relations, marketing or related function.
- Accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office with an exceptional understanding of database management and spreadsheet applications.
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, as well as editing.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and make decisions independently.
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with a variety of persons.
- Strong public relations, finance and operational skills.
- Will normally work Monday-Friday business hours. Occasional evening or weekend special event duties.
