Development Lifecycle Product Manager
The Lifecycle Product Manager will be responsible for defining and executing the vision for the OutSystems’ Platform in application lifecycle management (ALM, DevOps, Continuous Delivery).
The mission in the Product Management team role includes researching customers and competitors, analyzing market segments and gaining insights for the positioning, setting directions and roadmap with product teams, supervise the launch plans and roll out to market together with the marketing teams.
The Lifecycle Product Manager has the following key responsibilities:
- Do primary and secondary research in the market
- Segment the market in verticals and use case specific needs,
- Understand the pricing vectors and propose our pricing
- Define (in detail) the product value proposition, including to:
- Identify the critical target personas and respective needs
- Understand deeply the key customer use cases, and their priorities
- Align with OutSystems vision and goals
- Kill superfluous features that do not have a relevant fit
- Position the product in the landscape of technologies used by the prospect base and against competitors
- Define and maintain product directions and communicate the product roadmap
- Manage the product lifecycle and supporting release/discontinuation processes
- Interact with IT analysts in calls about our product
- Support sales channel on competitive and licensing segmentation needs
- Define and maintain the “OutSystems Evaluation Center”
Main requirements
- 10+ years experience in IT operations, of which half with deployment of custom enterprise software (responsibility in Continuous delivery or DevOps), managing applications and version from development to quality and production. Experience with other IT automation and configuration management tools, like Chef, Puppet, Jenkins is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure with limited resources, to adapt to changing business requirements; to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities;
- Knowledge of the IT industry with a background selling to C-level at end customers and or equivalent senior executives in a channel partner company;
- Knowledge and experience selling services focused on app development and delivery;
- Knowledge of app development approaches and methods is a plus;
- Outstanding communicator with ability to provide feedback at all levels of the organization;
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science fields. MBA is a plus.
- Excellent English language skills.
