Development Manager – Equities Middle and Back Office. recruitment
As Development Manager you will be responsible for development projects in the Middle Office, Back Office, Reference Data and Corporate Systems domain for the Global Equities and Futures Options divisions of a global investment banking group.
This will include working on the rollout of a new strategic platform for MO, BO and reference data.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- 10+ years of experience in working on large scale Development projects in financial industry.
- Experience in Equities Middle Office/Back Office domain.
- Strong functional design ability with good understanding of complex aspects of trading technologies
- Experience in managing projects across different locations.
- Able to judge and prioritize different requests from users, development team, and other IT peers.
- Clear and confident communication style in English – verbal and written
- Assertive personality – able to challenge difficult users and extract clear and logical requirements
- Experience in managing a team size of 15 or more people.
Although this is a management position, you will need to be technically very strong:
- Experience of programming in Java J2EE, TIBCO/Messaging, Oracle, Unix
- Basic appreciation of SQL, ability to query and organize data for analysis purposes
- Experience of working in an AGILE project environment – “narratives”, stand-ups, demos, frequent iterations etc.
