Development Manager – RAD / C# / VBA – City, £85k - £90k + bonus/bens
Leading financial services firm based in the City is looking to recruit a Development Manager with a background in financial services and experience of working in a Rapid Application Development environment.
This role is a balance (50/50) of management and hands on development, and offers a challenging and dynamic environment with the opportunity to work alongside the business in a highly influential way. Operating outside of group IT this development team offers an agile and flexible delivery solution with extremely close proximity to end users and decision makers.
The key accountabilities for this role are:
- Technical
- .Net 4.0, C#, WPF, WCF, EF
- Excel VBA
- SQL Server 2005 / 2008
- OO, RAD, Agile
- Team leadership - leading both the development landscape and providing man management
- Design of innovative solutions alongside the business requirements
- Full SDLC experience
The successful development manager will have the following experience:
- Front office development experience, either in a trading or underwriting environment
- Demonstrable experience in leading teams to achieve rapidly changing business driven objectives
- Project management and resource allocation for teams of multi-skilled cross functional developers
- A mathematical background (degree educated or equivalent) with experience of modelling
