youth services organization, is seek-
ing a Development Officer to lead
it's fundraising efforts. This position
is based in Washington, DC. Gener-
ous benefits. Required experience:
1. Prior development/fundraising exp
in the nonprofit field; 2. Significant
exp in writing grants for agencies
serving youth and families from un-
derserved communities; 3. Strong
writing/planning skills; 4. Exp in ap-
plying for governmental grants and
developing relationships in the
foundation and business communi-
ty; and 5. The ability to meet dead-
lines under pressure. Qualifications
1. BA Degree required; MA a plus 2. At least 3 years direct exp in devel-
opment 3. Demonstrated excellence
in organizational, managerial, and
