Development Operations Engineer Job in Oakbrook Terrace 60181, Illinois US
RESPONSIBLITIES:
· On-call phone support. Monitor application-level warnings and respond to site scope alerts and other monitoring tool based alerts
· Troubleshoot production and QA environments encompassing: IIS configurations (IIS 6.0/7.0/7.5), file/directory permissions, performance counter monitoring and analysis, network Load Balancing, Firewall, DNS, and server routing as well as cloud environment using provider specific tools for insight
· Troubleshoot application errors/issues and closely work with development-team, DBAs, Network Team to quickly resolve issues. Independently perform root cause analysis on real time production environment
· Debug issues within multiple environments using stack trace and review of system logs
· Notify stakeholders (Project Team, Tech Leadership) regarding system status
· Resolve environment/application related issues
· Own creation and evolution of scripts to support deployment to multiple environments (dev-shared, dev-integration, QA, production, etc.)
· Own creation and evolution of scripts to support insight into the environments (log aggregation, performance counters, uptime, etc.) Monitor and report deviations in vital statistics (e.g., transaction volume)
· OLTP code and Design review
· Deploy, Monitor and Maintain all SQL Server Subsystem (SQL agent, SSIS, etc.)
· Proficient with SQL Server Agent with the ability to create, schedule and troubleshoot jobs
