Working within the Regional Commercial Banking segment, the role has a strong focus on managing an existing commercial customer base and increasing the share of wallet cross selling other products and services, and increasing FUM (funds under management). You will drive increased profitability by acquiring new to bank customers through the development of customer strategies (eg. customer calling programmes, converting prospective customer leads to sales opportunities). You will also provide coaching, direction and effective communication to an Assistant Manager in particular around credit and risk awareness.

In this development role you will manage a small set, alongside an experienced Relationship Manager. You will work closely together, visiting and managing clients and developing your RM skills. Whilst winning new business will not be a primary focus for you, it is something you will work towards.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Agri and rural relationship management experience
• Exceptional customer/relationship and interpersonal skills
• Strong financial credit/business analysis and interpretation skills
• Solid understanding of the small business and investment markets
• Strong sales prospecting and referral ability
