An opportunity exists for a Development Superintendent to join the team at Oaky Creek Coal No.1 Mine. Reporting to the Production Manager you will plan and coordinate mining activities in the Development Department in conjunction with mechanical and electrical requirements in order to meet optimum production.

 

As the successful applicant you will primarily be responsible for achieving the annual Development production budget, develop long term planning and scheduling, ensure the provision of mining infrastructure in the development areas and contribute to employee relations and moral by demonstrating strong leadership skills.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and credible leader who will guarantee a safe operation through the effective leadership of the Development team, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, Company policies and procedures. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and relevant experience in UG Coal Mining. This leadership role requires excellent communication, supervisory and planning skills and the ability to excel within dynamic environments. Whilst not essential, ideally you will hold a Third Class Certificate of Competency.
