Device Modeling Engineer Engineering | Richardson, TX, United States Brief Description : Develop and extract custom-fit linear and non-linear models for commercial RF and millimeter-wave applications (1-85GHz) Description: Responsible for developing linear and non-linear device models for various technologies (GaAs-PHEMT, HBT and GaN) Key tasks involve data collection, data analysis, model extraction, validation, implementation, and documentation. Job Qualifications: Education: B.S. in electrical engineering required, M.S. or Ph.D. preferred. Mastery of basic network theory, lumped equivalent-circuit models for microwave transistor devices, and experience with non-linear model parameter extraction and validation approaches. Solid hands-on experience in small-signal S-parameter and large-signal load-pull transistor characterization, and familiar with load-pull measurement techniques and systems. Familiarity with noise parameter, TOI and pulsed-IV measurements. Skilled and very familiar with Agilent-ADS and/or AWR-MWO circuit simulators. Familiarity with simulator built-in transistor models, such as EEHEMT, Angelov, Agilent-HBT, is a plus. Previous design circuit exposure, such as power amplifier circuits is preferred.
