Job Description:

Device Transistor Engineer

If you are a Device Engineer with transistor wafer processing experience, please read on!

The Transistor Product Engineer supports the product through all phases of product development with focus on transitioning to volume production. The position requires a good understanding of bipolar transistor wafer processing and a background in device physics. The Product Engineer will assume responsibility for identifying yield enhancement and reduce product costs.

Responsibilities:

-Coordinate and manage new product activities.
-Work closely with Process Engineers during bring-up of new products.
-Work with Process Engineers to support current production by troubleshooting yield issues and recommending corrective action.
-Drive yield enhancement activities.
-Work with customers to avoid quality or performance issues.
-Communicate product status to management in a fast paced environment.

Complexity:
Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough and practicable. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Impact:
Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.

Interaction:
Frequent inter-organizational contact and with outside suppliers. Expected to represents the organization in determining solutions to moderate technical problems with suppliers.

Education and Experience:
-Knowledge and skills typically acquired by a completed BSEE or MS (preferred)with 5+ years of transistor experience.
-Detailed understanding of device physics, characterization, diagnosis, failure analysis, and debug activities.
-Self motivated, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
-Ability to take complex chip designs into production.
-Solid understanding of semiconductor experience.
