Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of the Die Tuner is to take new tooling to the production floor, run trials and tests, then modify any part of the tooling to get the product to match print specifications.
- The Die Tuner is a key part of the design process and gives input to the tooling designer to ensure appropriate parameters are met.
- The Die Tuner helps create process parameters for introduction into manufacturing.
- The Die Tuner will help establish tool storage parameters, and will be heavily involved in the teardown, repair of tooling. .

Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree preferred, but we will consider years of experience tuning and developing profile extrusion tooling and products in lieu of degree.
- 5 years of experience “developing”, “tuning” and “running in” extrusion tooling.
- Sufficient experience to understand the tuning, processing, and practical applications.
- Strong knowledge of tooling construction such as wire EDM, milling and similar tooling manufacturing methods
- Working with a wide variety of polymers.
- Hands-on processing tuning and processing ability in polymer extrusion.
- Strong knowledge of streamlined tooling and vacuum calibration.
