Diesel Tractor/Trailer Mechanic: Full-Time Averitt Mechanics play an important role in serving our customers by using their professional skills to keep our modern truck fleet well-maintained and running efficiently. They also take tremendous pride in knowing the job they do ensures that our drivers make it safely back home to what matters most! Some of the responsibilities of an Averitt Mechanic include: Bumper-to-bumper preventive maintenance service and/or repair to tractor and trailer Preventive maintenance inspection Electrical troubleshooting Brake system repair Tire maintenance Minor diesel engine repair Air conditioning system repair Tire Wheel, Heavy Duty Brake System and A/C Certifications are a plus ASE Certifications are a plus Full-time Averitt Mechanics are stationed at our facilities, which provide a clean, safe working environment. There's no roadside work, and pay is based on clock hours, not book hours! Plus, uniforms are provided/laundered and there's a $1,000 tool allowance!
