DIESEL TRUCK MECHANIC Job in Mooreland, Oklahoma US
Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an IMMEDIATE opening for an experienced Diesel Vehicle Mechanic at its Mooreland, Oklahoma facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary on trailers and tractors
- Document/record work performed electronically on the computer
- Perform road repairs when necessary
- Perform cryogenic pump maintenance
- Perform electrical/electronic repairs and installs on tractors and trailers
- Calibrate pump discharge meters
- Load trailers
- Minor welding and fabricating as required
- Install and repair electronic equipment on tractors
Company supplied tools and tool box. Company supplied uniforms and safety equipment. On-the Job Training for specialized cryogenic systems.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma/equivalent
- Class A CDL preferred
- 3-5 years strong diesel vehicle repair experience
- Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills
- Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety
- Strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechanics/drivers/operations personnel
- Solid work history
- Ability to drive a tractor
- Welding knowledge and experience
- Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12 volt DC circuits
- Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience
