Responsibilities/Duties:
The Dietitian is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating nutrition care plans for patients, in a multi-disciplinary team setting for the Women's Health Program.
The position duties include providing nutrition consultation to patients with moderate to high risk nutrition concerns related to maternal health in both inpatient and outpatient settings and is a liaison to Nutrition Services for program initiatives and issues.
Qualifications:
Completion of a Baccalaureate degree with a major in Foods and Nutrition and an accredited Dietetic Internship are required. Candidates must be eligible for membership with the College of Dietitians of Alberta and Dietitians of Canada. A minimum of two years current experience as a clinical dietitian is preferred, with proven clinical and counseling abilities. Competency with computer applications is necessary. Experience with multidisciplinary health care teams with inter-disciplinary/inter-sector systems and with community based services is an asset. BCLS required.
