Digital Account Manager

Job Purpose:

The client you will be working with is one of the largest and most important clients within the agency globally. At our agency, we are a part of a unique and consolidated WPP offering, which combines key skillsets and agencies from within the network for the specific benefit of the client.

As Digital Account Manager within our agency, you will be a part of the international team and have the responsibility of combining media market technical knowledge, data analysis and client feedback to configure, operate and optimize complex campaigns to meet client objectives

Job Duties:

1. Strategic Planning

• Working with the management team (Director and above) on delivering strategic thinking and planning (applicable to both global and local campaigns) based firmly on consumer insights and on learnings from past activities
• Working closely with the creative agencies to ensure that recommendations from our agency are fully considered in the creative development process - as well as the overall communications strategy where possible
• Confidently articulating the agency's contributions in this area to senior clients
• As appropriate, ensuring engagement throughout specialised teams (social, search, business planning…etc.) within our agency

2. Media Planning Buying

• Ensuring an effective and efficient campaign management process - planning, buying / negotiations, campaign tracking and reporting, accurate bookings / budget and PO management, invoice procedures etc.
• Ensuring plans are innovative and always deliver fresh thinking to the client
• Co-ordinate negotiations with media owners, ensuring that we are delivering best value to clients (pushing for cross media deals and meaningful partnerships)
• Always ensure that our approach to metrics and analytics is best in class, and always challenge the team to strive for innovation in this area

3. Market/Regional Engagement Coordination

• Taking responsibility for clash management across all divisions of the client (working with the rest of the central team and market teams).
• Ensuring sharing of best practice across markets, implementation of centrally written strategies and in particular market communication in general - a continuous dialogue allowing the markets to 'lean in' to any communications planning and media planning done by the central team in London
• Facilitating innovative thinking in the development of local market media solutions - fostering great working relationships with our agency teams around the world in the process (buying, agreeing fees etc…)
• Helping the management team put in place a Market Engagement process that really works!

4. Relationship People Management

• Establishing yourself as the key contact point for day to day account handling / management issues - dealing with these effectively and quickly - bringing in the management team on the business as and when needed
• Ensuring that day-to-day co-ordination and other basic services are delivered on time and in a correct and accurate manner by your team
• Managing the workloads as well as the development and career progression of the managers and executives on the team who report into you

Skills/Qualifications:

• Circa 4 years of experience in digital media
• Exceptional client serving skills are essential
• Excellent numeric and analytical skills and ability to translate statistics into insight and actions
• Strong strategic thinker with demonstrated experience
• Experience implementing integrated communication campaigns across multiple media channels, especially digital.
• A good understanding of marketing communication channels in the paid, owned or earned areas.
• Experience with industry tools i.e. Comscore, Nielsen, AdRelevance etc.
