Digital Content Specialist
Under direction, the Digital Content Specialist supports the marketing department in executing communication initiatives for the digital channel such as; website, e-mail, online advertising, social media and others as identified. The specialist also supports the online user experience through usability improvements, SEO/SEM, translation of print communications to digital, content publishing and writing. The position is also responsible for tracking and reporting analytics as necessary to measure results.
Qualifications (Minimum education experience level required):
Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or other related field, along with strong knowledge of marketing principles, digital communications, user experience and/or interface design. Experience writing in a variety of formats, usually acquired through three to five years experience working in a corporate communication department, or in the publishing field. Experience with WordPress, direct response marketing, email, social media, digital advertising a plus.
Skill requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Proficient in Adobe's Creative Suite, specifically Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Proficient in Keynote
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS with web publishing experience
- Proven ability in digital communications including e-mail, content design, intuitive navigation, and user experience best practices
- Excellent visualization skills with the ability to articulate concepts
- Strong verbal and writing communication skills
- Familiarity with SEO methodologies and best practices
- Experience with analytic tools (Google Webmaster, Webtrends, etc.) to inform online experience improvement
- Strong knowledge of current digital communication industry standards and design concepts
- Experience with social media, mobile technologies
- Ability to work on concurrent projects on tight deadlines and maintain close attention to detail.
- Ability to think quickly in a highly demanding environment and exercise appropriate judgment as necessary
