The Company
Our client is a world-renowned gaming organization, responsible for a number of household name console titles. They are looking to appoint a Digital Marketing Manager to their in-house team, a position of significant seniority within the organization and a remuneration package to match.
The Role
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for defining and executing cutting edge, high quality and financially smart web and digital marketing campaigns. The role covers both Global campaign creative and also local UKexecution. They have overall responsibility for online campaign management and digital media planning for all titles.
- Working within the Digital Marketing team, the job requires strong partnership with Marketing Brand Managers and PR to define global digital marketing initiatives, including:
- Online campaign per title
- Online advertising strategy, global andUK
- Regional global online advertising buys (MSN etc)
- Mobile/Tablet marketing campaigns
- Website creative and execution
- Search strategy
- 3rd party and 1st party digital relationships.
- Agency selection and management for digital campaigns.
- Managing and overseeing the production, localisation and distribution of assets and promotional collateral to support the above programs
- Vendor management, due diligence and terms negotiations for online advertising and marketing agencies
- The role also works strongly with the other Digital Marketing divisions e.g. Social Media and Community, CRM, to bring a fully integrated campaign to life.
The Person
- 3 years + experience of online marketing and digital entertainment or either in local or global role
- Experience of managing agencies as a client or agency experience
- Specialist understanding of digital marketing channels including online, web production and social
- Knowledge/experience of consumer entertainment, interactive multimedia and video games markets
- Demonstrable creative and strategic thinking
- Understanding of the games market
- Understanding of the marketing mix
- Ability to apply critical thinking and analysis to projects / workflow and then act on it
- Good communication, collaboration and presentation skills required
- Self-motivated individual
- Adaptability and great organisation skills
- Attention to detail and keen ownership of projects
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritise
- A desire to deliver high quality work and achieve
- Passionate about digital, entertainment and new technology
