Description of Digital Hub
Our Digital Marketing Hub will be outsourced (Sapient Nitro) and will focus on delivering the following functionalities: forecasting and analytics, social media strategy, business engagement, and digital innovation.
Forecasting and Analytics
This unit establishes the metrics and analyzes the data used to measure the Bank’s digital campaigns: forecasting, goal setting, analytics and reporting.
Digital Innovation
This unit gathers the varied digital technologies developed within the Bank, specifically, and in the digital industry, generally, and helps deliver them to the local businesses (e.g., BBVA Compass, BBVA Bancomer, BBVA Banco Francés).
Social Media Strategy
This unit develops the Bank’s strategies for improving customer engagement and business results in social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Four Square).
Business Engagement
This unit ensures that the hub provides digital programs that can be objectively measured and aligned with the local businesses’ commercial objectives (e.g., customer acquisition, retention, cross-selling).
The hub will serve as an additional digital resource, concentrating the Bank’s digital activities in one place, thus improving the delivery of the Bank’s digital assets and expertise to local businesses.
The Digital Marketing Managers (one in NY and another in Spain) will serve as the liasons between Hub, the digital marketing contacts in each local marketing team and the global teams of the Bank’s following divisions: Technology, Brand and Communications, Channel Management and Innovation.
Description of Digital Marketing Manager Position
Global Digital Marketing Strategy
- Develop core global digital marketing strategy and programs, aligned with segment business objectives, working together with local teams and Hub.
- Identify both short and long term approaches and digital initiatives for key customer segments and lines of business, which will grow customer acquisition, retention and cross sell.
- Maintain working relationships with Hub, local marketing contacts and a wide range of contributors and enablers within the Bank.
- Optimization of programs by developing standards for data sourcing and uses of data by marketing objective, platform and channel.
- Experience in exploiting wide range of digital approaches and tactics: design, web, mobile, analytics, social media, rich media banner campaigns, email marketing, social media applications, etc.
Global Digital Program Management
- Successful “end to end” delivery of projects, via effective program management, to ensure all deliverables are aligned with business objectives, on time and on budget.
- Manage multi-skilled teams, in different areas and geographies, which will require effective communication, delegation and leadership.
- Engage all stakeholders, soliciting feedback at every stage, and manage all relationships with Hub and other teams (expectations, communications, escalation, etc).
- Passion and awareness of new, emerging technologies which would drive business and give the Bank a competitive advantage.
- A good grounding in managing costs with the ability to manage internal client and other partners across a number of contacts at different levels of seniority.
- Experience in reviewing creative work developed to ensure strategic alignment and quality of communication is maintained.
- Promote, showcase, and educate internal clients about digital marketing while grounded in business metrics.
- Best practice sharing: monitor and share competitive and BBVA best practices.
This position will be located in New York City for the first 2 years and will then be moving to Miami, Florida in 2014.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or marketing, post graduate degree would be a plus.
- Minimum 8-10 years of broad digital marketing experience, with specific program management experience.
- A good to expert understanding of traditional and digital production.
- Experience with managing advertising and promotions, including online media buying and web optimization techniques.
- Understanding of data analytics.
- Demonstrated strong sourcing new partner collaboration relationships.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. Will eagerly provide or receive advice, guidance and support to other team members.
- Experience in large, global and complex organizations.
- Fluency in Spaish is a must.
