Digital Marketing Strategy Lead
This role will provide strategic leadership, champion digital innovation and drive execution of the team's U.S. digital marketing roadmap related to a core set of digital assets: on-going Brand Marketing Campaigns, the BlackRock Global Corporate Site, and other digital assets during peak periods of strategic and tactical needs (e.g., Campus Recruiting Site). With the goal being to create a world class digital brand for BlackRock that drives revenue, builds brand equity and increases customer loyalty across all our product lineups. This individual must possess a strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills are required with the ability to deliver results within short timeframes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Digital Marketing, emerging technologies, and have an interest in/knowledge of the asset management industry (including mutual funds, exchange traded funds, etc.)
This individual will partner with groups across the marketing, sales, technology, and agency organizations to develop a strategic vision for these digital assets, and manage execution and delivery of the campaigns and properties. This will include aligning the digital content strategy with client needs and continuously differentiating BlackRock through the creation of unique content, interactive user experiences and design elements, leveraging innovative digital marketing techniques (relevancy across search engines, link building/sharing strategies, organic lead generation, social media, animated video, infographics, etc.); will also be responsible for research, performing retrospectives, reporting, and monitoring performance/success based on business/digital analytics.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy and project management for digital marketing activities/campaigns related to U.S. Brand Marketing efforts and Global Corporate Site, and evaluate results on an on-going basis, partnering closely with regional counterparts to achieve joint goals and ensure consistency/best practices as appropriate
- Deploy innovative and creative digital campaigns in support of product, brand, and marketing initiatives, bringing together efforts across content strategy, advertising, paid search, social media, rich media, etc. into a complete and holistic digital marketing campaign approach
- Partner with eBusiness Channel, Development and Design/Content teams agencies to steer the creation of the digital creative
- Develop and maintain a process work flow that ensures consistent execution and delivery of digital marketing campaigns
- Continually monitor campaign and site/mobile metrics to evolve future strategies
- Partner with key constituents to ensure continued integration of the Global Corporate Site with other BlackRock digital assets and sites.
- Continue to evolve Corporate Site functionality and working with key stakeholders to drive forward the various components of the site (e.g., PR, communications)
- Stay abreast of digital media tools, platforms, and industry trends
Requirements
- Experience working on digital properties, developing customer facing sites, digital media campaign development, including but not limited to: digital design/user experience, display marketing campaigns, search (SEO and SEM), social media, mobile applications, content management systems, digital analytics
- Ability to demonstrate business value and work with multiple business units and across teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong information design and project management skills
- Ability to thrive while facing multiple tasks and tight deadlines
- Attention to detail
