Position Description:
The Digital Media Specialist will support the Senior Digital Media Manager in a variety of digital projects such as launching new global websites, launching specific websites for firm initiatives, building mobile apps, improving existing infrastructure to streamline processes, and working on enchantments to existing portals. The individual will also assist in the maintenance of PIMCO's global digital presence, including daily content management tasks. As part of PIMCO, the digital media specialist will work closely with a global team of writers, producers, code developers, investment professionals, compliance officers, and the marketing communications team to present sharp, cutting edge information in ways that keep us consistently ahead of our competitors.
The digital media specialist will play an integral role in the production, maintenance, and evolution of one of the world's top destinations for financial information. PIMCO, a leading global investment manager, is known as an investment authority and our digital presence has grown into an invaluable resource for our clients, the media, and the public. This is a new role developed to support our growing firm and the increased initiatives the Digital Media Group is responsible for around the world.
Main responsibilities
• Work closely with the Senior Digital Media Manager
• Lead regular meetings with various teams within the firm and external vendors
• Optimize existing infrastructure to streamline internal background processes
• Work with many teams both within and outside the firm to build improvements across PIMCO's digital properties
• Produce regular website metrics (through Webtrends) to demonstrate measurable value of digital firm initiatives
• Maintain existing sites and assist in building new digital properties
• Focus on improving the customer experience
• Focus on quality control and quality process implementation
• Learn and report on industry trends

Qualifications/Requirements
• A four year university degree in business, management information systems, technology, economics or finance related field
• 1-2 years' experience website management, maintenance or administration
• Proficiency in working within multiple content management systems (particularly Microsoft Sharepoint)
• Very knowledgeable of basic HTML
• Basic Photoshop skills
• Understands website metric reporting (preferably Webtrends)
• Has worked with external vendors
• Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Asset management or financial services industry background preferred
