The Print on Demand Team Lead responsibility is to oversee and execute day to day production requirements of the assigned PBMS facility. The position will report to the PBMS print center Customer Operations Manager. Execution of POD prepress, print and finishing needs are the primary responsibilities of the position. Special attention will be paid to production schedules, quality assurance and customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Manage print on demand document production while achieving operational goals for quality and productivity, and ensuring that the assigned staff is performing according to operational procedures. Assists in the management of production schedules and turn around time to client. Assists in inventory management and the daily purchasing of project related supplies. Assist in the management of staffing levels and allocate staffing resources with emphasis on planning within budget and minimizing overtime. Monitors daily job tracking and staff reporting for all work in progress. Review and solution projects with PBMS print center production management. Knowledge of pre-press technology and workflow required Knowledge of digital print technology and workflow required. Knowledge of large format print technology and workflow required. Communicating all project information with Customer Operations Manager and Customer Service Representatives. Support the quality management processes by assisting in the development of procedures, work instructions and quality system documents, and actively participating in the improvement system process. Follow and enforce all assigned facility policies, including health safety, building security, data security, and a harassment free work environment. Monitor performance of service and maintenance providers as assigned, and provide feedback regarding their performance to the Customer Operations Manager. Report and document any accidents or injuries immediately. Assist in the investigation of such incidences with emphasis on preventing recurrence. Ensure that unsafe work conditions are immediately remedied. Perform the functions of departmental leaders in their absence, as needed. Perform various print production tasks as required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrable computer proficiency. PBMS is currently seeking Customer Service Team Leaders who are customer service oriented and career-minded; and, who are able to work in a fast paced production environment. - The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred - At least 2 years experience supervising a team's workload required - At least 2 years experience in a digital print production environment required - Knowledge of pre-press technology and workflow required - Knowledge of large format print technology and workflow required - Minimum of 1-year customer service experience required - Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and company personnel - Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment - Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously - Strong organizational and administrative skills - Basic mathematical knowledge - Ability to meet employer's attendance policy - Computer proficiency in email environments, MS Word/Excel or similar programs - A valid drivers license with a clean driving record - Lifting or moving objects up to 50lbs with or without accommodation - Ability to adhere and administer companies policies and procedures - Standing for long periods of time - Significant walking
