Overview

The Production manager is responsible for the planning, execution and project management of Gift Card print production for the region.

As a member of the Production team, the Production manager will be additionally responsible for the launch of new products, including new designs, form factors, and substrates. Responsibilities include contribution to the effort to streamline the production workflow.

The Production Manager will work closely with a variety of individuals and groups across the following internal organizations: Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Gift Cards Sales, Merchandising, and Business Analytics. There will also be a significant amount of external collaboration and coordination with external agencies and print manufacturers.

This position reports to the Global Card Production Manager.

Responsibilities:
* Enquire and ensure all rolling forecasts are completed on time with Finance and Sales
* Provide Regional GSM with the production plan based on forecast for the geo and related period
* Ensure all print projects are on schedule and follow up on milestones
* Initiate and manage weekly documented status calls with printers, outside vendors and key teammembers
* Initiate and manage weekly documented status calls with Integrators on operations
* Communicate weekly pipeline for the geo to all internal team members
* Communicate weekly inventory report for the geo to all internal team members
* Identify and troubleshoot potential "delay" challenges, being the expert at creating and communicating creative solutions
* Work with worldwide team members, retailers and internal and external partners to capture all project requirements
* Oversee card shipments - production to DC
* Publish specs for all aspects of the gift card process (card, carrier, integrator, data)
* Maintain specification documents in the internal production system (offerings, specs, proofs)
* Analyze current business processes, recommend improvements and drive implementation

Desired Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required and 5-7 years experience in print, purchasing, project management or supply chain management environment
* Strong attention to detail and operational workflow dynamics to effectively track and analyze the status within the procurement process
* Proactive communicator with the ability to troubleshoot issues while ensuring on-time print/card delivery to specific geos
* Ability to multi-task and utilize resources to execute tasks within a deadline oriented environment
* Excellent communication and negotiating skills
* Commitment to continuous process improvement initiatives and ability to solve problems creatively
* Highly motivated and high level of initiative; inspires confidence to work independently and in support of department goals and business objectives
* Willingness to travel on regular basis
* Fluent in English, good knowledge in French a plus (Printers)

Additional Requirements

At times the individual will be expected to work extended hours that may fall over evenings or weekends during peak periods.
