Digital Project Manager - Custom Digital Media Production - Digital Media Publishing Company
Based in Washington, D.C., we are one of the country’s leading custom-media firms, seeking a digital media project manager to work across multiple business/technology-related disciplines within the company.
This is NOT a telecommuting position! Work on-site, fulltime in Downtown DC.
What you will be doing:
* Maintain and meet multiple tight project deadlines
* Create specs; determine best plan of action to complete projects
* May include managing outside vendors as needed
* Communicate with Production team regarding best practices based upon customer requirements
* Develop titles for the web, tablets, email and other digital media
* Notify team members and stakeholders of schedule changes that will affect delivery dates
* Identify and resolve conflict areas in priorities with management
* Perform documentation updates as needed
* Review all creative and technical deliverables to ensure all work remains in scope
What you need to qualify:
* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent experience
* 4 years' demonstrated experience in the publishing industry or digital media environment
* Strong problem analysis and resolution
* Proven experience in managing project risks
* Practical experience with requirements gathering and documentation
* Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and people in a team-based environment
* Ability to develop highly successful cross-functional working relationships
* Understanding of web technologies and online software development practices
* Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus
* 3 years' Project Management experience in a publishing, e-commerce or online marketing environment
