JOB SUMMARY: The Support Developer will provide support for corporate developed projects and initiatives as well as third party verticals and CMS. They will manage an in-house ticketing system and provide support to corporate properties. They will also participate in new product development as needed.

 

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities will include running and maintaining the current ticketing system and providing support to corporate sites on the CMS and other product issues. This position will interface both internally with other company groups and externally with customers. A strong combination of technical skills and communication skills are a must. Customer interaction will be an integral part of this position from both a support and development role.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

● Support interactive applications including but not limited to CMS, Classifieds, SOVA, and Adtools etc.

● Effectively communicate with and supports papers on site related issues

● Monitors and maintains ticketing system software

● Communicate important support issues to Development Director

● Builds and develops projects as needed

● Compiles and runs reports as needed

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The Support developer will be familiar and have working knowledge of CMS software. They will be able to adapt quickly to new technologies and software. They must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with employees and customers on all levels. They will have experience in the coding and understanding of the development process.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. 1-2 years work experience

            2. Strong communication skills and preferable experience dealing with management and customers

3. Working knowledge of PHP, javascript, MySQL, HTML, CSS (Familiarity with Zope and ZPT a plus)

4.   Knowledge of design techniques and tools including Adobe Creative Suite

5.   Microsoft Office

6.   Excellent problem solving skills, keen attention to detail, positive attitude

7.   Ability to work independently as well as with a team

8.   Ability to identify, document, and resolve technical problems quickly

9.   Self-motivated and willingness to learn new skills

10. Familiarity with Open Source Software and CMS
