Digital/Mixed-Signal IC Designer (Back End) Job in San Jose 95113, California US
THE COMPANY:
Our client is actively seeking an expert Digital IC Design Engineer to creating Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits (IC's) for MEMS based oscillator sensor products. The ideal candidate will be an integral member of a superb group support multiple Research Development design teams as well as be responsible for system design through layout, verification, Integrated Circuit (IC) characterization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidates will be responsible for Mixed-Signal system design using digital Verilog design synthesis as well as analog schematic capture.
- Candidates will be responsible for "back-end" place route as well as chip level verification.
- Candidates will be responsible for behavioral modeling of analog as well as digital circuits.
- Candidates will be responsible for complete Mixed-Signal simulations for verification of chip level system level performance.
- Candidates will be responsible for understanding of digital design synthesis, place route, chip level design, tools, methodologies.
- Candidates will be responsible for testing, characterizing, debugging designs in the lab.
- Candidates will be responsible for supporting production tests, qualification, product introduction.
- Candidates will be responsible for writing specification test requirements documentation.
- Candidates will be responsible for interfacing with applications, marketing, manufacturing to provide Integrated Circuit (IC) expertise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates are required to have a MSEE degree or a PhD with mixed signal design background.
- Candidates are required to have @ least 5 years of Digital/Mixed-Signal design experience.
- Candidates are required to have "back-end" auto place route experience as well as a background in chip verification.
- Candidates are required to have extensive experience using Cadence or equivalent circuit design simulation tools.
- Candidates are required to have a demonstrated ability to characterize, debug, troubleshoot designs in the lab through hands on characterization.
- Candidates are required to demonstrate performance successfully taking designs from concept through characterization production release.
- Candidates are required to be very capable in script software writing for part testing as well as characterization.
- Candidates are required to be "self-motivated" with the capability of working independently to deliver quality designs.
