Job Description Job Classification: Contract A Engineering Facility in Sterling Heights Michigan is looking for a Dimensional Management Engineer. This person will perform activities during design development to ensure that the proper Dimensional Management process is performed. The key objectives are to ensure design variation is managed while supporting design objectives. Conduct manual and VisVSA computer aided tolerance evaluations of the subsystem and component designs to ensure design functionality. Direct and monitor the development of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing schemes of the models and drawings to ensure compliance with ASME Y 14.5M-1994. Must be able to work in CAD systems to interrogate and identify functional interfaces of component and system designs.Will work with Manufacturing during the development of the dimensional controls to ensure the objectives of Engineering functionality and the Manufacturing producibility requirements are balanced. Will have to mentor and tutor engineers in the GDT standards and dimensional analysis requirements and processes. Candidates must be proficient in performing 2D Tolerance Stacks.
