Oversees the generation and direction of business opportunities that encompasses the corporation's products and capabilities from conception to fruition in Army Wheeled, Soldier, and RS markets. Leads a cross functional team of resources in order to capture identified opportunities. Generates, maintains, and reports on business opportunities and performance. Develops and proposes new and innovative approaches to winning new business and growing the business. Provides significant input to the growth strategy and new product development of the business.

Required Skills:
*12 plus years' experience with the Army *B.S. in Engineering (or equivalent experience). Experience with sales and business development initiatives in the Federal market with an emphasis on the Army sector of the U.S. Department of Defense. *Former Army officer is desirable, preferably with experience in Iraq and/or Afghanistan and other overseas commands. *Well-developed understanding of marketing, business development, and targeted sales strategies. *Sales experience in negotiating and securing contracts. *Ability to execute with a "hands on" approach rather than directing others. *Excellent negotiation skills and tactics to ensure corporate objectives are achieved. *CONUS TRADOC and especially Pentagon in SAAFMBUL/G8/ASAALT experience preferred, with understanding and contacts in ATL in OSD *Extensive experience in an operations and/or sales capacity and exposure to various Army initiatives including: Logistics, Wheels Strategy, Individual Soldier protection, Modularity, POM development, OSD operations *Federal Business Development/Capture experience, and training experience preferred (ie: LORE, CPS, Shipley, etc). *Solid knowledge and experience with current and anticipated Army initiatives and contracting opportunities within the relevant offices (ie: G8, SAAFMBUL, ATL in OSD, TRADOC, RDECOM, TACOM, ASC, AMC, etc.). *Astute business acumen with a sophisticated understanding of business development, government relations, and intelligence gathering within the DOD market sector. *Must possess a strong client network and demonstrate a successful track record with the ability to attract new business and transition clients over to the Company. *Strong working relationships and a solid contact network within the DOD/OSD/Army's POM and G8 and ASAALT and contracting offices. *Must be enthusiastic and passionate about the Federal contracting business and ready to join a highly motivated and strong team. *Must have visionary skills to ascertain market direction and strategic skills to determine methods of market penetration.
