Dir - Subcontracts I
The Director of Subcontracts is responsible for developing and implementing a supply chain strategy and common process that enhances overall strategic position by consistently improving effectiveness, creating and growing strategic partnerships, and enhancing system capabilities. This position also manages subcontracting staff located at multiple Support Solution sites to successfully: - Develop integrated strategic supplier organization and support the overall business goals to reduce cost, improve quality and improve fulfillment - Provide oversight of all subcontracting personnel at multiple sites - Develop/implement subcontract management training programs. Establish standards/skills required for subcontract management - Direct and ensure all subcontracting activity is handled in a consistent and ethical manner to enhance the company's reputation and improve relationships between the suppliers and customers within the company - Review and approve all subcontract agreements - Monitor subcontractor performance assuring subcontractor accountability for satisfactory program performance and implement corrective actions to address unacceptable conditions - Develop subcontracted sources that are properly equipped and staffed to ensure a continuous supply of the required goods and services - Monitor subcontracts staff to assure they are meeting the established performance metrics - Enforce subcontract policies and procedures by ensuring that activities comply with established policies and procedures and Federal Acquisition Regulations. Reviews activities at offsite locations to ensure consistent compliance with established policies and procedures - Manage and support/ Liaison Regular Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) Audits and Reviews - Manage and support proposal activities as it pertains to subcontracted efforts - Manage BAE Internal Work Order (IWO ) subcontracts - Embrace and grow utilization of Small Business and Small Disadvantaged Businesses - Interpret economic and market conditions advise management of potential impacts on the cost and availability of goods and services being procured - Support period Management status briefs and internal customer requests Required Skills: Required Education: Bachelors Degree in a related field Required Experience: 10+ years of relevant procurement subcontracts experience Preferred Skills: Preferred Skills: Master's Degree - Leadership Experience BAE Systems is a premier global defense and security company with approximately 100,000 employees delivering a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support and services.
