Dir, Performance Engineering Director/Sr. Manager - Performance Engineering Responsible for the overall performance strategy, performance planning, and application performance monitoring for the Grainger eCommerce platform. Responsible for setting the direction for toolsets needed to achieve optimal performance, availability, and scalability. Leads a team of application engineers and data engineers. The Sr. Manager/Director of Performance Engineering is responsible for working with and helping to drive solutions across functional areas (business, infrastructure, Mid-Tier, UX, Hybris, Security and Infrastructure). The Sr. Manager/Director Performance Engineering is also responsible for the relationships with our strategic partners that enable scalable solutions, increased capacity, improved performance, performance monitoring, and high availability. The areas of responsibility also include load testing, capacity planning, and risk management. Responsible for creating a standard performance SLA for 3rd party vendors. Responsible for overall BOT management and traffic segregation. Responsible for the overall caching strategy across the entire application stack. Responsible for the day to day management of performance challenges, CDN vendor relationship, communication of performance issues and enhancements. Requirements: Experience: ï?§ Experience implementing, managing, and tuning CDN for an eCommerce platform ï?§ Experience with monitoring dashboards ï?§ Experience with DynaTrace ï?§ Experience with Splunk and other log aggregation tools ï?§ Experience implementing caching strategies at multiple layers for an eCommerce platform ï?§ Experience scaling an eCommerce platform to meet business growth ï?§ Experience working with development teams to tune, test, and implement changes necessary to improve and maintain acceptable performance levels ï?§ Experience with Gomez, CatchPoint, and Keynote ï?§ Experience with running external synthetic load testing Grainger is an equal opportunity employer
