Position Description Acts as public relations counsel, overseeing all public relations, media relations, advocacy, communications and community relations initiatives. Responsible for planning and implementing effective public relations programs to increase visibility of organization and assist it in achieving its business goals. Provides strategic counseling to administrative staff on public relations issues to enhance the image and awareness of St. Anthony Hospitals. Also provides counsel and support in the advocacy arena to position St. Anthony Hospitals as an effective leader in healthcare policy issues. Bachelor?s degree required, preferably in public relations, mass communications, journalism or business. A master?s degree in business, marketing or related field desirable. Eight-10 years of Public Relations experience, with proven measurable success, and at least 3 years of experience at a public relations advisory/counselor level. Health care experience required, preferably in the hospital industry. Competency in business, financial and organizational tasks in the corporate environment, including computer literacy. Knowledge of business principles and health-care environmental issues. Excellent leadership, communication, motivation, written and personal interaction skills. The following are recent examples of the St. Anthony North?s continued growth and strategic growth: ? 2006: A $7 million expansion and renovation of the Emergency Department was completed which added 12,000 square feet to the hospital and increased the number of patient treatment rooms from 20 to 32. ? 2008: The grand opening of the new St. Anthony North Medical Office Building, located directly behind the hospital. The state-of-the-art 65,000 square foot, three story building is home to Panorama Orthopedics Spine Center, Rocky Mountain Cardiovascular Associates, St. Anthony North Family Medicine Residency, St. Anthony Senior Health Centers and Women?s Health Specialists.
