To have scientific and clinical responsibility for the Oncology program. The person in this position is also responsible for establishing the necessary laboratory infrastructure for oncology, as well as contributing to the revenue generation through support of the marketing efforts.

• Assume scientific responsibility for Oncology biomarker programs including biomarker searches and literature review, pipeline development, IP evaluation and preparation of technology grids.
• Assume clinical responsibility for Oncology clinical trial programs including overseeing Histology team to ensure the scientific direction and timely completion of all slides.
• Establishes the necessary infrastructure to run Oncology programs including personnel, and documentation (SOP) needs as well as evaluation and incorporation of appropriate technology platforms.
• Engage in Quest Diagnostics business development including presentations, meetings and preparation of client proposals in Oncology.
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of regulatory compliance including GLP, GCP. And CLIA as related to clinical trials product development and research.
• Prepare work orders, bids, assist with marketing materials and other company communication as needed.
• Attend Quest Diagnostics management meetings; participate in planning and strategic decision-making.
• Interact with clients to design studies, develop proposals and communicate study information and status.
• Assist with the design, implementation and oversight of quality control procedures.
• Maintains up to date knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) regulations.
